Welcome to the place where you can rest and relax. Whether you are planning a quite getaway, or an adventurous journey of partying and exploration, this is your perfect chilling base. Few minutes away from Fort Lauderdale airport, 7 minutes away from the famous Hollywood white sand beaches and boardwalk, almost around the corner from the bustling Hollywood downtown area; full of restaurants, cafes, and night life. With all that, the house is located in a safe and quiet residential area. There are a few rules for the House. If some of them don’t seem common sense to you – please don’t feel offended. I started with just a few and had to add more as it became clear that some guests didn’t think these were common sense So I figured – it’s best to put everything out in the open so that you know what’s expected… but they’re all very simple to follow! ................................. ..The key rule is - please enjoy yourself… and leave our home in the same way you found it. You’re our guests – and this is our home, not a hotel, so please treat is as if it were your own. Thank you and have a wonderful stay.
❖There are plenty of parking on Johnson street ( main street in front of the house) but there is our private parking that you can use on the back of the house as well.
❖Digital lock self check in
❖I’m always available via phone/text/ message/ WhatsApp/Viber. Though texting is always better then calling Nina. The only time I won’t respond right away if I’m on a plane or in a work meeting - but most of the time I reply in minutes.
❖Just in case, My boyfriend Stan and another person who can take care of things locally should it be the case is Lena.
❖Wi-Fi network: WelcomeHome Network password: PerfectVacation It is also on the fridge for your convenience. The router is in the living room (next to the TV).
❖ NO PARTIES or events at any time. Please respect the neighbors and do not play loud music or make loud noise after 11pm. If you do… they would let me know AND call the police.
❖ No smoking inside at any time. Outside – feel free to enjoy fresh “filtered” air! Lots of ashtrays all over the place.
❖ Please always make sure the house is closed when you leave. There are three doors. Main one , the door next to the pool and the door on a side of the house.
❖ Never switch off the air conditioner. It is centralized and if you switch it off , mold can accumulate. If you are cold , simply adjust the temperature. The regulation box is opposite main entrance . Just open the box cover on the wall and the switches are inside. Please don’t make temperature higher then 78 degrees.
❖ Please do NOT open any windows.
❖ Some closets will be closed with a lock. They hold our personal items. There are plenty of closets and shelves in the bedrooms for your stuff. Bed sheets will be provided in the bedroom if you are staying for longer time and need to change them. You can also use washer and dryer for your needs.
❖ Gas Grill: Enjoy but please do not forget to turn it off. All the grill tools and cleaners are in the Grill Box. Should you need more gas , you can exchange gas tank in Home Depot ( 10 min drive) Just bring my tank there and they will give you a full one for $20 bucks. (Send me a receipt and I will reimburse you) Please clean the grill after each use( scrub the grilling grate clean with the provided tools after each use and empty the grease bucket.) You have an option to let our cleaning crew take care of it after you leave for $50 on top of the regular cleaning fee.
❖ Pets are not allowed.
❖ Check in is 4pm. Check out is at 11am. Please coordinate any time changes in check-in or check-out - we ll gladly work with you to do it at the time that is convenient for both parties. If you fail to let us know of the delay and our agent has to come and wait for you to get ready to leave, the charge is $50 per each hour of wait.
❖ The trash cans and garbage pick up are on the back of the house near the driveway, to the left. You will see two bins. Please do not put regular trash in a green recycle bucket . Only recycle goes there. Trash pickup days are Monday and Thursday. We left plenty of garbage bags in the laundry room . Please use them.
❖ There is a pool service guy who comes usually during the week. He comes to clean the pool. He uses the side gate, so no need to let him in/out.
❖ No diving in the pool . If you hurt yourself we’ll be very sad… but won’t be responsible. Consider yourself warned.
❖ Please do NOT use glass of any kind at the pool area. If it breaks and gets into the pool, someone could get hurt… and the water from the pool would need to get pumped out which costs a LOT (we’d have to charge you for it). We provide lots of designer acrylic dishes for your outdoor dining pleasure and wine glasses that look like the real thing – so please make use of them.
❖ The clothes washer uses HE (high efficiency) LIQUID detergent. We have it there but should you run out pLease get another one. No powder detergents please!!!
❖We provide beach towels, a bike and a little paddle board for your convinience Please dont forget it on the beach. If you do , I will have to charge for it.
❖If you break anything – please PLEASE let me know before you leave! Most of the items are easily replaceable – I’ll tell you where to get what so that there are no hurt feelings and extra charges. The only things that are hard to replace are our unique décor items… please treat them with respect.
❖Enjoy the books in the house but please let people after you enjoy them as well :) Don’t take them with you.
❖ The common sense stuff… -no coloring hair in the house ( some porcelain sinks are not resistant to dies) -no graffiti on walls (even if you think it’ll add to the house décor), -switching off all electrical appliances before you leave the house (except air conditioner!) -switching off running water completely -no throwing anything other than toilet paper into the toilets… etc., etc.
